Biography
Evgeny Guberman (July 30, 1955 — December 29, 2012) was a legendary Leningrad drummer.
Evgeny Guberman (July 30, 1955 — December 29, 2012) was a legendary Leningrad drummer. He played in "Akvarium" (1979–1981), "Zoopark", "Voskresenie" (Leningrad lineup), "Televizor", and "Avgust". He first met Sergei Bogaev in 1979 when "Akvarium" toured Arkhangelsk. He joined "Oblachny Krai" in 1984 to record the album "Ubluzhya Dolya" in Leningrad at Andrei Tropillo's studio. He played on "Stremya i Lyudi" (1985) — the band's most famous album, which was included in the "100 Magnetic Albums of Soviet Rock" collection. Over 20 years later, he returned to record the final album, "Ygyatta" (2011), playing drums on most of the tracks. He was the teacher of Pyotr Troshchenkov ("Akvarium") and Valery Kirillov ("Zoopark"). He died on December 29, 2012, in St. Petersburg.
