We were eagerly awaiting, after a message was sent to the official Cloudy Edge website by Volodya Ivanov from Moscow, for him to forward us a video recording of this concert. It was hard to believe that this recording even existed. Our joy knew no bounds when Sergei Bogaev and I received and watched this concert. Sergei was deeply grateful to the people who had recorded and preserved it. Naturally, the quality was "terrible," but as they say—don't look a gift horse in the mouth.... The concert began almost from the middle of the song, but, thank the gods, there was a brief clip of the very first song, which Sergei Supalov and I used to sync—I aligned the audio, and he aligned the video—with the main concert footage. Kostya Perestukin's track also started abruptly, so we had to piece it together. The final toast song cut off mid-word, so we had to patch that up too. The sound was, to put it mildly, virtually non-existent. I pulled it up as best I could, to the absolute maximum, and then Seriozha Supalov synced all the video, pulling in fragments from the main recording. The picture in the original was extremely dark; mostly, only Oleg and Sergei were visible, Andrey and Kolya flashed by occasionally, Dima was practically invisible altogether, and the audience in the hall was nothing more than faint glimmers. Yura Rulev (Patriarchal Exhibition) volunteered to professionally restore the video for us. The result he achieved was simply outstanding! All the band members and the audience became visible; he beautifully corrected the colors and added small screens on the sides to make the recording widescreen. He created a very nice menu, and the DVD was ready. In short, the recording was fully and thoroughly restored. Igor Plenov 2014 SPb
