Ten years later, on 29 May 2021, Boris Kononov wrote in the VKontakte community: exactly ten years had passed since the shooting of the Oblachny Kray video clip "Ariya varyazhskikh gostey" — the last creative work of the band's leader Sergey Bogaev. Kononov was the director and cameraman of the clip and, by his words, saw Bogaev alive for the last time that day: Sergey had four days left to live.
"The day was clear and sunny, Sergey came to the shooting in high spirits, he looked wonderful," he recalls. They shot everything planned fairly quickly, went back to the car left in the car park, laid sandwiches on the bonnet, poured lemonade into glasses and over the snack made plans for further shooting ("Sergey had just released a new album" — "Ygyatta"). Then they went to Kononov's home and watched the material on a big screen. Kononov drove Bogaev to the metro station "Prospekt Veteranov": they said "See you soon" to each other, and Sergey went down underground.
When the clip itself was done, Bogaev suggested shooting something like a report from the set, in his cheerful, humorous manner; towards the end he pulled Kononov into the frame too. The rest was shot after the funeral in the same places. The roles were played by Alexander Oshlakov ("the opera singer"), Andrey Tabakov ("the rock singer"), Gennady Vasyukov ("the veteran drunk"), Kononov himself ("the intellectual drunk in a raincoat") and Igor Plenov ("the dacha drunk") — the sound engineer, restorer and music publisher who raised, restored and released on CD the whole creative legacy of Oblachny Kray. Kononov notes that on the same day, 29 May, it was four years since Plenov, too, had passed away.
