Stirrup and People, Part 1 - Preface
Stirrup and People · 1985 · Track 10
People and the stirrup...
The stirrup and people...
Across the desert I sailed on a camel.
Night, the Milky Way flowed in a haze,
And silence crept across the dunes.
Enough, I'm tired, I won't push myself to the breaking point,
I'll let both myself and the camel rest.
Looking up at the sky, I lay in my sleeping bag,
I wanted to think about something global.
Our caravan advances toward the light,
Some dreaming dreams, some counting coins,
Someone is frolicking atop a bride.
Who?! Doesn't matter, because the main thing is we're together.
The main thing is the light, and whatever happens, happens —
The sun will wake their corpse with a kiss.
A shared impulse cemented our breasts!
People and the stirrup...
The stirrup and people...
More accurate than any compass,
The constellation guide
Marked the East for us,
That's where our path lay.
And from the mountains, from the cold peaks,
A stern and gloomy
Technical Director
Secured our rear.
I am cheerful, I am carefree,
But for some reason, snakes,
Having left their burrows,
Are crawling, as if there is no one left to kill!?
We walked with a reverent air,
We walked at a dignified pace,
And some of the locals
Joined us along the way.
All members of the caravan are
Soulful partners,
And if someone falls behind,
The straggler will be caught up to and duly convinced.
We walked hard and long,
The camels began to grumble,
But suddenly the lookout
Rammed his forehead into an oasis, and everyone shouted:
"HOORAY!!!"
