Stirrup and People + Monster Attack on the Biped
Concert at MEI · 1987 · Track 8
The people and the stirrup...
The stirrup and the people...
Across the desert I sailed on a camel.
Night, the Milky Way dissolved into mist,
And silence crept across the dunes.
Enough, I'm tired, I won't push myself to the breaking point,
I'll let both myself and the camel rest.
Looking up at the sky, I lay in my sleeping bag,
Wanting to think about something global.
Our caravan advances toward the light,
Some dreaming dreams, some counting coins,
Someone is frolicking atop a bride.
Who?! Doesn't matter, 'cause the main thing is being together.
The main thing is the light, and whatever will be, will be -
The sun will wake their corpses with a kiss.
A shared impulse cemented our breasts!
The people and the stirrup...
The stirrup and the people...
More accurate than any compass,
The indicator of constellations
Designated the East for us,
That's where our path lay.
And from the mountains, from the cold peaks,
Stern and gloomy,
The Technical Director
Secured our rear.
I am cheerful, I am carefree,
But for some reason, snakes,
Having left their burrows,
Are crawling, as if there's no one left to kill!?
We walked with a respectable air,
We walked at a worthy pace,
And some of the locals
Joined us along the way.
All members of the caravan -
Are kindred partners,
And if someone falls behind,
The straggler will be caught up to and convincingly persuaded.
We walked hard and long,
The camels began to grumble,
But suddenly the lookout
Bumped his forehead into an oasis, and everyone shouted:
"HOORAY!!!"
