Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday!

This compilation, featuring 9 tracks, is yet another gift to the fans of Oblachny Krai, which we prepared for the birthday of a magnificent musician. This collection is unique because it gives us the chance to introduce you to the very first lineup of Oblachny Krai. It was this exact lineup that traveled to the "Festival of Soviet Song" in the city of Novodvinsk in 1981, where they performed a song based on the lyrics by WWII veteran Sergei Orlov, "He Was Buried in the Globe of the Earth". Unfortunately, that particular song has not survived, but four other tracks have. These recordings were kindly provided by one of the band members, Andrei Varvinsky, who currently resides in England and sent them from there—a huge and heartfelt thank you to him for this! All the other tracks were recorded between 1981 and 1982, and all of them are completely exclusive.

Band Lineup:

Sergei Bogayev - lead guitar, vocals, songwriter.

Oleg Rautkin - drums

Nikolai Lyskovsky - keyboards

Andrei Varvinsky - keyboards, vocals, songwriter*

Oleg Zaitsev - bass, vocals, songwriter**
